Re: How can I identify files with errant/missing thumbnails
Hi Geoff, thank you,
that helped to identify lots of corupt files, most of them in the same folder. For what reason ever they appeared with the label 'invalid EXIF data'.
I was able to restore form an old Backup, now it seems to be fine.

Hi, the same here. From some thousand now down to 269 files.

Re: PS 2024 crashing - empty hamburger menue
sorry, with the laptop win 11 up to date.
Initially I thought if it is an issue with the grafic card, I am using an RTX ADA 2000 (for video editing) , but with the intel GPU the same.

Re: PS 2024 crashing - empty hamburger menue
Hello and good evening,
All problems are still there.
It's not just the hamburger menu, but also Help and Settings that shows a white rectangle with no items.
But now the surprise:
When I start PS with the default empty PS system database everything is fine - all menus are fine.

Re: HTML web galleries?
Good morning,
... I am already paying for my own web hosting service since I already design my own website ...
time ago I run into the same issue. But as my website-editor
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/
is offering lots of galleries, I don't miss this feature in PS anymore.
Isn't you editor ...

Re: Do I need server edition?
Hi Geoff,
that is what I try to avoid, to have subsets of data (there is an exception for the data concerning my customers, they have there own partition and catalog).
I will buy a larger SSD first before I am forced to split ;-) . Otherwise I will make mistakes in BackUp and synchronizing routines ...

Do I need server edition?
Hi, I want to restructure my file management. Instead of having all data on every computer (three) and synchronize, I would like to setup a NAS.
- If I am the only one working in this scenario, do I need the server edition?
- If I want to leave home for longer I will syncronize NAS with the laptops ...

Re: catalogue update taking ages after update
Hi,
how big ist your database and thumbs.db?
Do you have a file based BackUp? Have you compressed the database befor update? If so / if not you may abort, restore the database from the BU perform a cmpression and try again.

Re: File list in the log in dialoge
Apart from that ...
Don't worry :) : the catalog at the NAS is just the BackUp of a catalog that is placed as my live catalog at an extra SSD. I only have a look at the NAS if I want to have a fast look from my laptop (and my primary desktop is offline) , that is not my primary system for that ...

Hi,
so no chance of getting a kind of 'recently used catalogs' file select box like I would expect in a drop down list?
