Hi, as I have more than one database I would like to see more than one - the last used - in the log in dialogs file list. It is a bit boaring always to be forced to use the 'select folder' dialog.

File list in the log in dialoge
Re: File list in the log in dialoge
Nothing to stop you using separate desktop Icons with different command line parameters to open the required database.

High Geoff,
thank you for the reply, but
Strg Shit C only shows me the last DB used (and the initial one one that is located in the users diretory at the C drive I don't use).
And, if I try to quit Strg Shit C I get the dialog box attached. I can't quit that box but have to leave via the TaskManager

One catalog database is located at a local NAS.

Hi,
so no chance of getting a kind of 'recently used catalogs' file select box like I would expect in a drop down list?

Re: File list in the log in dialoge
The drop down is intended to display catalogs that exist in the standard catalog folder or in the same folder as the catalog you have currently open.
I very much liked Geoff's suggestion to create different shortcuts to different catalogs.
As a side note: storing catalogs on a NAS is tricky. SQLite is not a network database and was never designed with network use in mind. SQLite performs slow on a network share.
Apart from that, SQLite creates constant "journal" files and the slightest network hiccup can corrupt these files causing total database file corruption. Make sure you have multi-generation backups available.
In general: place your catalog on the fastest possible internal SSD drive and make sure that the catalog folder is excluded from any virus scanner. You can use file sync tools to sync your files to/from the NAS, also on different computers using the NAS as a medium.

Re: File list in the log in dialoge
Don't worry : the catalog at the NAS is just the BackUp of a catalog that is placed as my live catalog at an extra SSD. I only have a look at the NAS if I want to have a fast look from my laptop (and my primary desktop is offline) , that is not my primary system for that purpose.
The shortcut method ist not working for me or I don't understand.
