Hi G8DHE,
Thanks, but I don't think that helps. The create and modified date for the files in the collection are already set correctly. Your suggestion would fix them if they were wrong, but they're not. What I want is to keep the correct dates in the files when I copy them somewhere else where I ...

Re: How to Copy Images in a Portfolio to a Folder?
Snowman1 and Andrew,
Thanks for the help. That does the job, however it also sets both the file create and modified date stamp for every file copied to the time of the copy, which I don't want. I specify no resizing, renaming, or anything else, so the files should be copied unaltered. I looked at ...

How to Copy Images in a Portfolio to a Folder?
Hi,
I want to copy 812 image files in a portfolio to a USB drive. Seems like this should be the most basic of functions but I don't see how to do it.
First I tried a simple drag and drop from PSU to the file explorer. That did nothing.
From my earlier notes I thought I could select the images ...

Best Way to Reorganize Folders & Catalog
Hi,
I'm reorganizing my messy and inconsistent folder structure to eliminate duplicate files, reduce the number of folders, and rely less on folder location and more on PSU mechanisms for organization. I have some duplicate files identified by folder location. I want to eliminate them and then ...

Thumbnail Display of File Path
Hi,
I have a deep file hierarchy and I like to see the path to my files in the thumbnail display. However when I use any of the choices to show the path (FilePath or FileDirectoryName) I can't see the right end of the path because it's too long. In the Folder pane I set the Top Level Folder to not ...

How to Copy/Paste Photos?
Hi,
I'm trying to transition from IDImager to Single User PSU. In IDI I could select one or more images and then copy/paste or drag them to the Windows file explorer or another application that can receive files using the clipboard. In PSU this doesn't work. If I select and copy (right-click Copy ...

Re: Surprises for IDimager User Trying Photo Supreme
Hert,
Before reading your post I did more testing and had more problems. I've tested with with both small numbers of images and large and I think I'm comfortable with the PS interface in the areas I'm using. Here's what happened.

Surprises for IDimager User Trying Photo Supreme
Hi,
I'm a long-time IDimager user trying out Photo Supreme and I encountered some surprises I'd like some help with.
I started by installing PS, setting Synchronize settings (both Write & Read) to enable hierarchical keywords delimited with "|" (for compatibility with my IDI labels), and ...

Re: Problem deleting photos
Hi,
I've experienced this too. After several tries I restarted PS and then it worked. Most of the time it works fine. I haven't figured out when it works and when it doesn't.

Questions from IDimager User
Hi,
I've used use IDimager for many years & now decided it was time to try Photo Supreme. So far I've found it powerful and easy to use but there are a few things I can't figure out how to do:

Re: Issues when migrating from IDimager V5 to Photo Supreme
Hert,
Thanks. That's helpful, but I'd still like to know what I'd loose if I install PSU with the empty DB & then import all my images.

Re: Issues when migrating from IDimager V5 to Photo Supreme
Hi,
I tried PSU on a test machine and tried to use my test IDI DB using the process described by Hert. When I did this it didn't go well. When I started PSU with the IDI DB it went to sleep. Even after waiting 2 hrs & rebooting it was dead. So I tried to revert to the empty DB, but when I did I ...
