Re: Restore database to V3
Can't seem to find the V4 catalog files. Must be a different system/different file names, sizes etc. from V3? Uninstall the whole thing?

Restore database to V3
I have tried V4 but don't think I need it. Will therefore return to V3. Did backup V3 database before I let V4 loose on it. But when I now start V3 in order to restore the V3 database version, the program will not open because the database is the wrong type. So then I can't restore the V3 database ...

Buliding thumbnails never finishes
I have recently encountered a problem where importing images from a particular folder results in a never-ending process of building thumbnails. It does not hang, it just never finishes. The progress indicator even moves "backwards" off and on, and attempts to build thumbnails that are already ...

Repeatedly "database disk image is malformed"
Hello,
I have - for the first time - received an error message reading "database disk image is malformed", upon trying to delete a folder. Eventually nothing can be deleted, not even single files/thumbnails/images. I have restored the database from backups, two separate ones, the oldest from January ...

Re: "map to physical file" does not work
Done that. And it worked fine. But it appeared that some image files were still not linked to the catalog ("missing or medium not loaded plus red dot). However, it turns out this is only the case in catalog view. When finding the same images in folder view, everything is fine. But from catalog view ...

"map to physical file" does not work
Hello,
I have recently moved my PSU setup from one computer to another. This went smoothly, generally speaking, but some images in the catalog seem to have lost contact with the actual files they refer to. This appears to be random, and I am prepared to fix it by using the option "map to physical ...

Re: Version sets disappear
Thanks Mike.
That actually seems to have helped. I was not aware that there is a repair function in the compacting procedure. At least, it seems to have eliminated most of the problem. The behavior still occurs, but now only when PSU thinks that a particular file is missing (red dot and "medium not ...

Version sets disappear
When I click a tab in a version set, sometimes all tabs disappear and only one thumb is displayed where the version set used to be. And this is not even always the version that was clicked - it can be another version in the set. Clicking the folder or the portfolio in the left pane brings back the ...

Re: Unable to restore from backup
Sorry for not continuing this conversation immediately, but I still have problems: I appears that I have something called SQLite Expert Personal installed (I cannot recall why...). I do not think I have a SQLServer version of PSU installed (unless that is the default). I cannot find any of the ...

Re: V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view
OK, thanks everybody. Seems like an improvement after all, and I would readily accept the change. Only thing is, the reported behavior has ceased, and now PSU acts like it always did: Staying in the same view as when the verifying process was started. Weird, but I am happy with that...

V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view
I just upgraded to V3, and I can see that there have been improvements; not least the tabs. However, in my installation there appears to be a bug (or is it?): When I refresh a folder, PSU switches to catalog mode after completing. I then have to dig out the folder I was working with, starting from ...
