I just upgraded to V3, and I can see that there have been improvements; not least the tabs. However, in my installation there appears to be a bug (or is it?): When I refresh a folder, PSU switches to catalog mode after completing. I then have to dig out the folder I was working with, starting from my root folder. This is annoying, and can't be by design(?).

What action do you take for a refresh?

I'm not experiencing this behavior at all.

Re: V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view
After I do a folder Verify a new tab is created with the verified files but the original folder tab is preserved. I think its a neat idea now that multiple tabs are supported.
Re: V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view
Yes, what you're seeing is a new tab being created. The original view is still there, under its own tab. I was confused by this at first as well, until I realised what was going on...

Re: V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view
What I see is this: I have some folder open in a tab. I right click on a different folder and choose 'verify'. After that is done a second tab is opened with the verify result and the navigation panel adjusts to that (I had one image imported with the verify, and the nav panel shows the ''In last import' state).ketsko wrote:When I refresh a folder, PSU switches to catalog mode after completing. When I go back to the original tab (or close the newly opened tab) the navigation panel on the left also takes me back to the corresponding location for that tab.
So that does seem to be working as I would expect.
Does it work differently on your system?

Re: V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view
Ketil: Assume only the first tab is being displayed and that its collection is the contents of a folder. When you then verify a folder, the newly created tab always displays the "Last Import," which by definition is a Catalog State. That explains why the panel on the left then displays the Catalog view rather than the Folder view. Simply click the first tab to display its collection and the panel will again display the Folder view.
Dirk: You explained what happens when you verify a folder that is different from the folder being displayed in the first tab. The same thing happens if you verify the folder being displayed in that tab. My point is that whatever collection happens to be displayed in the first tab whether it's a folder or some other collection, verifying any folder will then display the newly imported image files of that folder as the "Last Import" in the newly created tab.

Re: V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view
OK, thanks everybody. Seems like an improvement after all, and I would readily accept the change. Only thing is, the reported behavior has ceased, and now PSU acts like it always did: Staying in the same view as when the verifying process was started. Weird, but I am happy with that...
