Re: v2024 frozen after launch
I thought it was the database update that was taking place silently. After restarting PSU three time, it showed up rebuilding thumbs, and I just let it finish...

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Thanks Hert. Interesting behavior on 4405. I disabled the override hi dpi box...
On start, the initial display is showing too wide off screen on the right like before. But grab the title bar to reduce the screen width, and it instantly reduces to the proper width.

Re: Can't seem to use the imbedded viewer
I've compared the PSU Preferences in idimager.cat.db and photosupreme.cat.db and they are identical. The setting "Images open" in both say "Embedded Viewer". I like to use FastPictureViewer as my Windows default photo viewer. With catalog photosupreme.cat.db when I double click on an image in the ...

Can't seem to use the imbedded viewer
I used to double click, or Shift click to open a thumbnail in the viewer. Shift-click no longer appears to be working and double click leaves PSU and opens the thumb in the default Windows 10 image viewer. I would like to stay in PSU to quickly view images in the folder to cull the bad images... I ...

Re: How to save detail profile edits
Thank you for clearing that up! I wondered about that because looking at the xmp files with Notepad, it was clear that the description was indeed inserted.

How to save detail profile edits
Having difficulty making changes to Detail Profile. When I look at my detail profile, I see that Description is set to no changes. If I create a description using the Detail panel, I would like to be saved to the database and the image file. I try to edit the Detail file by changing the setting to ...

Re: Metadata migration
Ah... Thanks Hert for clearing that up!
I was aware of the need to stay with one metadata editor, and I have always maintained PSu as the boss. Even when I was using Lightroom, I always went back to Idimager/PSU to make metadata changes. I was wondering if I had made a wrong setting in Preferences ...

Re: Metadata migration
Thanks Hert.
A few more tests this morning.
I "Shared" a RAW image to the desktop. A resized it to 800x600, and made sure all metadata was included in the jpg. Examined this jpg in exiftool. This time the PSu Creator and Copyright showed up in the metadata. Opened the PSu created jpg in PL4 - and ...

Long time user of Photo Supreme as my go to Metadata editor. I import, label and fill in many fields with my name copyright etc. Works great!
