Re: Fast way to mirror a number of images

Thanks roddyt for drawing my attetion to the Batch features, which I have not used so far.
Sadly, I was not successful with the batch (I tried a bit with and without an output folder, with and without the flag "Import output files").

But I found another way. In the Details I found the Orientation ...

Fast way to mirror a number of images

Hello,
I've got a number of images from an iPhone (but as JPEG, not HEIC), which contain also "Selfies". Unfortunately the selfies are stored in a mirrored mode, I assume this is important for narcisstic people. But I would like to mirror it back (to be able to e.g. read the text on the T-shirt).

I ...

Many thanks also from my side. The version 6536 seems to solve the above mentioned Access Violation issues.

Re: Software Error: Access violation

Hi Hert,

Re: Software Error: Access violation

I have also Access Violations in version "2024.2.0.6516" when trying to

Re-date
Change the Author of

of one or more images.
Also saving the meta data to the images has no effect (perhaps this is related).
Neither re-opening PSU nor restarting the PC did help.
Any other ideas?

With the version ...

Re: HEIC files not shown in PSU

Hello again,
for the case that someone else has a similar problem: Here is a procedure to convert HEIC into JPG and keeping the meta-data from PhotoSupreme.

Install "CopyTrans HEIC for Windows"
PhotoSupreme:

Create subfolder "heic"
Copy HEIC files into the subfolder "heic" (copies also the ...

Re: HEIC files not shown in PSU

It's really a bit frustrating to deal with the HEIC files under Windows. Perhaps it's easier to convert all the HEIC files into JPG.
But also this seams to be more complicated than expected, because when I add the JPG in Photo Supreme as a version of the HEIC file, both files are handled differently ...

Re: HEIC files not shown in PSU

In the meantime I found a temporary solution:

Uninstalling the Windows HEIF extension as described in https://www.free-codecs.com/guides/how_to_uninstall_hevc_and_heif_extensions.htm : Call in the Admin-Command-Line

C:\Windows\system32>winget uninstall --name="HEIF Image Extensions" --verbose ...

Re: HEIC files not shown in PSU

We are on the right way. As I have written above: Even the windows Explorer does not show the HEIC preview (on the PC, but on the Laptop it does).

The images are shown with the XnView icon, XnView can display HEIC files.

According to the Microsoft Store, the HEIF ...

Re: HEIC files not shown in PSU

Hello again,
thanks for your answers.
First I checked the "Preferences"/"File Handling". There was on both computers no ".HEIC" entry (neither on the Laptop, where it works, nor on the PC).
Adding the ".HEIC" entry (on the PC PSU) does not help.
I believe that there is something wrong with the HEIC ...

HEIC files not shown in PSU

Hello,
I have 2 computers (a Laptop and an PC) with Windows 10 and the installation of PhotoSupreme build 2023.2.0.5063. The database is identical, the images are also copied.
On the Laptop I can see HEIC images inside of PhotoSupreme but on the PC not (neither in the list preview nor in full screen ...

Re: Photo Supreme 7.3

Hello!
In my case the update of the database when starting version 7.3.0.4453 took about an hour for ~200000 images. But the database size increased from 4.2 GB to 11 GB.
Beside this I have problems to save changes to the images. Ctrl+S does not work anymore. Also the color label is always reset ...

Enable the old usage of the number keys (colors/rating)

Hello again,

it seems that with version 7 a lot of the behavior could be configured. Currently I'm not really happy with the new behavior of the assignment of colors and stars. In the past the number of stars was set be pressing the number 1 to 5 and the color by hitting CTRL and the number 1 to 5 ...

Thanks for the hint. In fact the solution was a bit away: the pin on the lower left corner.
