Shift+Enter not working

Post by tstoddard »

I just updated to the latest build, 7838, on my Windows 11 machine and the Shift+Enter keyboard shortcut no longer opens the selected image in full screen. It has no effect at all, that I can see. I use that shortcut all the time so it's annoying not to have it. I can view full screen by pressing enter to open in Preview mode and then Enter again will open the image in full screen mode but then I have to hit Esc twice to get back to the collection viewer. Can anyone else confirm whether they are seeing the same behavior?

On MacOS Sequoia, Shift+Enter (Return) does enter the full screen mode.

Looks like there's a fix for this in build 7851.

Watch out when upgrading there is an database upgrade involved in going to 7868 release.

The upgrade in 7868 can take a while to complete for larger databases. After completion, your catalog will most likely reduce in size once compacted.

OK that's good to hear Hert, its just a bit disconcerting when you run the update and only find out that there is a DB upgrade as the last thing before the program opens! It would be nice if DB upgrades could give a warning before there applied to make a backup - I've never had a problem with one but if I knew before it started I would always run a backup of the DB!
