Photo Supreme 7.3
Re: Photo Supreme 7.3

Re: Photo Supreme 7.3
maybe you can explain again then.
You state:
In quite a few cases a count of 1 is shown with no matching image as in this image for the "Job Identifier"
You show a screenshot with two images, so I cannot relate that to 1.
Then you state "Only two images should have counts (the IPTC reference images)"
But the screenshot shows those
And then you ask: So how can I clear these with no file name to even manually process in any way ?
With no file name? Your screenshot shows file names, so you completely lost me there

Re: Photo Supreme 7.3
Yes sorry its not as clear, when your not able to see the entire system!
There are a total of 16 images counted as having a Job Id, of which only two actually exist - I don't normally use that Job Id field - so the only two are the IPTC reference images (visible in screenshot) that actually do have a Job Id code entered, the other 14 images listed shown as having counts of 1 each don't have a matching image at all!
I have since found some other entries that are in similar condition under the Creator|Creator Contact Info|Web URL(s) where a count of 328 is shown but no actual images are displayed.
It seems that the database has a count but no image reference against the count ?
EDIT: If it helps I'll put together a video screengrab of what's happening always a lot easier to see what actually goes on, let me know. I've emailed support@idimanger.com with the youtube link.

You need to go to your Control Panel or download it directly from the website.AlainB wrote: 22 Jul 22 16:52 I have PhotoSupreme 7.2.0.4405 with a MacBookPro M1.

Re: Photo Supreme 7.3
I was able to recreate....
I had 19 images with a specific data set in "Web Statement of Rights" field. I usually do not use this field. So this would be a good experiment
Selected the "19" and the images displayed as expected.
Selected the 19 images in the thumbnail viewer and saw the "Details" feature populate.
Selected the "Web Statement of Rights" field.... then edited the field.
Pressed OK
The updates seemed to happen.
I went to a different field... different images displayed.... So far so good...
Next, I went back to check the Web Statement of Right field"... the oval still had "19" images....
I selected the "19"
But there are no images there.
HHHHmmm... this seems odd.
This being said, I expect there to be no images.... BUT... I also expect the "19" to no longer be there as those values are (hopefully) changed...
So, out of my 160k+ images, I do not remember what those images were... I guess I should have taken a screen shot so I could have search for those files again... But the point is... I have no way to re-read those image data... because I have no way to find them again. In the meantime, the "19" is still showing... but no pics are displayed.
NEW INFO.... It seems some (all?) of these images make it to the "out of sync" field in the States tab.

Re: Photo Supreme 7.3
apanelle looks very much like the same problems I'm getting, the counts associated with Detail items seems to have oddities, editing entries seems to alter the data but the counts only sometimes seems to reflect the changes made. I've seen the counts decrease but also seen them stay the same but then "loose" the link to the image just edited. I've been scrolling thru the details fields and it seems it can affect any of them, the total counts of the higher item doesn't always reflect the actual counts below them but do reflect the number of images that can be seen. I've put a video screengrab together for Hert and emailed him with the Youtube link hoping it might assist locate the problem.

G8DHE, Yea, sound like almost exactly the same.... Good job on putting the video together!
Re: Photo Supreme 7.3
Thank Hert, version 4443 seems to have cured the Details Count problem, all looking good.

Hmm. Interesting, my database upgraded in less than 5 minutes. Coming from 4432 and 47k images.

Re: Photo Supreme 7.3
Haha. Not really. Still limping along on a 2013 "trash-can" Mac Pro.
But it's getting the job done, that's for sure.
I did compact just before the upgrade, so maybe that helped??

Good morning,
update went flawlwess within 15 minutes, thumbnail display seem to bee quicker - all fine.
Because I am curious, can you tell (in easy words ) why the database is so much bigger (three times here)?
horst
