DxO PhotoLab support
DxO PhotoLab support
Hi Folks,
I'm using photo supreme 3.3.0.2606 with DXO PhotoLab.
In the settings I set DxO develop support to either elementary or approximately (doesn't matter for the outcome).
When I use u-point corections in a file the thumbnail is missing completely.
Instead of the thumbnail the following text appears: "{0.xyz...." is an invalid float
Crops bij DxO PhotoLab are not shown for any image.
Can anyone reproduce this and if yes, will there be support for DxO PhotoLab in the future?
Kind regards from Holland
Germie

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
Hi Germie,
I can confirm. Happened to me when I imported two images from DxO PhotoLab on which I did u-point corrections. After I temporarily moved the .dop files away, Photo Supreme imported without a hitch and showed thumbnails.
Cheers,
Jure

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
Maybe you can attach a dop file?

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
Hi Folks!
Thanks Jure for your help.
Hert, I attach a dop file to this message.
I had problems uploading the dop file to the forum.
Therefore I renamed PC010485.ORF.dop to PC010485.txt

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
Just started testing Photo Supreme and I too use DxO PhotoLab. PhotoLab creates sidecar files as you know but it can be stopped from doing this. However whilst I have managed to edit raw images held in Photo Supreme in DxO I have not been able to get the thumbnail in Photo Supreme to update to reflect the changes made. If I use it to open DxO again the image is in the edited state that I left it but the thumbnail will not change in PS. Any ideas?
Re: DxO PhotoLab support
Until the update arrives that supports PhotoLab I think its best to set DxO Edits support (Preferences / File Handling) to "None".
Photo Supreme just shows the original thumbnmail of the raw file then.
You might need to refresh thumbnail, by selecting images affected and then pressing Ctrl-Alt-T

Can we get a hint when this might be? Thank you!

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
This sis something that happened relatively recently with one of the newer updates. I am not quite sure where the problem lies, with DxO or with PSu. The DxO edits previously rendered without any problem, but I updated both PSu and DxO a few times and and some point I started to notice those missing "invalid" thumbnails...
Trying to figure out a workaround I discovered thus:
An alternative is using DNGs instead of NEFs. The DOP files generated by DxO when you use DNGs are read by PSu without any problems. Also, if you do not want to convert your files to DNGs you can choose a different rendering method in PSu: If you set DxO support to "elementary" the thumbnails are apparently rendered without trying to read the DxO edits from the DOP file. All not ideal, but at least a workaround...
BTW - deleting the DOP files and re-creating the thumbs is another option though one then obviously looses the DxO edit settings.

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
I absolutely don't want to be pushy about this, but will a fix be available in the not-so-far-away future?

Remember that, although Hert from IDI participates here often, this is a user-to-user forum and there are no users who know the answer to that.germie wrote: 25 Jan 18 8:32 I absolutely don't want to be pushy about this, but will a fix be available in the not-so-far-away future?

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
I see your point. However, Hert picked up this issue from this forum and I supplied relevant files through this forum.
Hence my later question about the status here.

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
There will be support for that change DXO made in the foreseeable future

Re: DxO PhotoLab support
Is DXO Photolab now supported in new Version 4 of PSU?
Re: DxO PhotoLab support
As a DxO Photolab user, I'll add my name to the list of those looking for Photolab support.
