Re: What are the reasons for NOT using DNG instead of NEF (or CR2)?
Phil, I missed a one of the greet advantages of DNG when using Lightroom (Develop module) / ACR. Both verifying the hash code in the DNG to detect errors in the file.
I tested this in Lightroom by changing one bit in an hex editor of a DNG file. When opening the file in the develop module, a banner ...

Re: What are the reasons for NOT using DNG instead of NEF (or CR2)?
Hi Phil,
I once started converted all RAW files to DNG because I thought that only DNG was future proof, and all other raw formats will cease to exist or will no longer be supported. Several moths later, i deleted all DNG's and restored the original raw files from backup.

Re: Face Regions Metadata and LR6
As i shoot raw+jpg, I tried this:
I have Auto sync on in PSU. When i use LR to find Face regions and save the meta from a raw (cr2), PSU picks up the regions with person info and can display the region in the PSU image editor.

Re: Manual
I don't think a 'substantial' manual will be available in the near future for Photo Supreme. Creating such a manual will need resources that currently not available. A physical printed manual will be outdated even before it is created. This is one of the weakest point of Photo Supreme and its ...

Re: Working with Label Sets
Mike, It is as the the Label Sets are specially designed for you. When many labels can be assigned with one drag & drop operation (thanks for the tip Mke), this is great time saver.
For my use, it is less convenient. I would need many Label sets with probably only a few labels in each Label Set ...

My issue is: i don't fully understand how i can implement the use Label sets in my workflow. So the examples you provided are a step in the right direction.

Re: Problem with special characters Æ Ø Å when used in mappi
Also notice when 'special characters' keywords getting translated Catalog labels, the applied labels will write back the keywords even the user corrected the spelling in the xmp. I'm experienced this with metadata applied in the former IDimager: i started a battle to correct the errors and on sync ...

Working with Label Sets
I supported the request for 'Also assign related labels' But somehow, i do not like the relations is used for this purpose as they are more acting like shortcuts and there is already a method for assigning multiple labels in on operation with Labels sets.

Re: File Name Conventions, xmp files, and raw files
If you still have copy's of de originals straight from camera on a mirror/backup location, then i would preserve the xmapMM:PreservedFileName like they are.

Re: File Name Conventions, xmp files, and raw files
Assuming you have a backup of all your photos, you will need a reference to the old filename once renamed the images. Since this is the second time you will rename the photos, it is possible the xapMM:PreservedFileName is holding the original name of the camera or it does not exist.
But when the ...

Hert, i did sync the file, otherwise i cannot verify what is written to the file in Exiftool. But the tag 0xA434 is not in the exif.
I entered ' EF70-200mm f/4L USM' and this is only updated in XMP > Lens
