When selecting pictures to import, is it possible to sort them by date/time in the selection window?
My problem is that I'm importing images from two different camera apps on my phone, which use different naming schemes (date_time.ext vs IMG_date_time.ext, PANO_date_time.ext). This makes it kind of ...

Unable to open file "IDI_Application._fileBookmarks"
I just tried to open PhotoSupreme and got the error
Unable to open file "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\IDimager Systems, Inc.\IDI_Application._fileBookmarks"
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Cancel to kill the program.
even though that file exists.
If I click OK, I get ...

Re: ExtractSingleWord
Thanks! This code I found in the macro command parameter listing for IDImager ended up doing exactly what I want (extracting a sequence number):
(Also, it might be worth adding a mod_rewrite rule so Google search links work again.)
Code: Select all
%FileName{word=1,right,_}

ExtractSingleWord
Anyone have any idea how to use the ExtractSingleWord (or ExtractSingleWordFrom) tool in the Rename item>Advanced>Functions sub-menu of the batcher? Selecting it just brings up several inscrutable text-entry boxes that appear to do nothing.

Re: Set technical data with batcher?
Thanks. I'll look into that.
As a feature request, it might be worth removing the selection circles for read-only fields.

Set technical data with batcher?
I'm trying to set image technical metadata with the batcher, but I can't seem to figure it out. I want to set the focal length, but this could probably apply to any of the fields.
So far, I have done:
* Create a batch
* Add a "Image Details" step
* Expand the "Technical" drop-down list
* Click ...

Re: Fix incorrect database dates?
That did not appear to change anything. The metadata date in the photo details window appears to be correct, it's just not sorted correctly in the "By Date" list. Here's a screenshot (click for large version):

Re: Portfolios
Could you allows us to drag pictures (or folders to create a collection) on to a portfolio in the favorites list? This might be more intuitive then copy/paste.

Fix incorrect database dates?
I just converted a mid-size (25k) database from IDI v5 to PSU, and I'm trying to fix some incorrect dates.
When I go to the catalog "show by date" list, it has some completely absurd dates listed, such as 1899, 8512, ,8624, and others. The technical metadata for the images in these categories is ...
