When selecting pictures to import, is it possible to sort them by date/time in the selection window?

My problem is that I'm importing images from two different camera apps on my phone, which use different naming schemes (date_time.ext vs IMG_date_time.ext, PANO_date_time.ext). This makes it kind of ...

Thanks! This code I found in the macro command parameter listing for IDImager ended up doing exactly what I want (extracting a sequence number):

Anyone have any idea how to use the ExtractSingleWord (or ExtractSingleWordFrom) tool in the Rename item>Advanced>Functions sub-menu of the batcher? Selecting it just brings up several inscrutable text-entry boxes that appear to do nothing.

As a feature request, it might be worth removing the selection circles for read-only fields.

I'm trying to set image technical metadata with the batcher, but I can't seem to figure it out. I want to set the focal length, but this could probably apply to any of the fields.

So far, I have done:

* Create a batch
* Add a "Image Details" step
* Expand the "Technical" drop-down list
* Click ...

That did not appear to change anything. The metadata date in the photo details window appears to be correct, it's just not sorted correctly in the "By Date" list. Here's a screenshot (click for large version):

Could you allows us to drag pictures (or folders to create a collection) on to a portfolio in the favorites list? This might be more intuitive then copy/paste.
