Thank you, Hert, for your quick reply! I really appreciate your dedication with Photo Supreme and its users.
I will need to get in touch with support, since the files actually do exist, and the root folder is OK. I had a similar problem a few yers back (2019-ish) which remained unsolved for a ...

Re: Photo Supreme v2025 is released / PROBLEM
Just bought the update, as I do every time, trusting things are rather getting better than worse. Had my database ugraded after starting the application. Result is syncing doesn't work anymore. Ctrl+S doesn't do anything, the red "unsynced" dot won't disappear. New versions (jpg) of the file (cr2 ...

Re: Thumnails not created, CR2 not displayed
Thanks your your reply! And yes, that's possible.
It seems my problem is the same as in [https://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?t=35849] -- sorry, hadn't seen it before posting -- where you've suggested a few tests. Actually, the Status search for "With Possible Corruption" displays the files ...

Thumnails not created, CR2 not displayed
Each time when opening PSU2024 (Win 10), the program tells me it is creating 71 thumbnails (out of my ~40,000 pics). It never succeeds, and those few thumbnail frames remain empty, while their developed JPG or TIF versions are shown. Opening those CR2s presents me with a blank screen.
I tried Ctrl ...

Re: Wrong/incomplete file metadata displayed
Maybe I'm not getting it, sorry, but how can I provide an XMP if there is none? PSU does not write any XMPs into the directories as described.
Thanks for your help

Re: Wrong/incomplete file metadata displayed
Thank you for your reply. Took me some time to get back to the problem.
PSU does not write XMP files in new folders from the point of time on the problems described above started.

Re: Wrong/incomplete file metadata displayed
No, unfortunately this also failed. (Error message attached.) I also tried "store metadata to file", but PSU doesn't succeed; the progress is not progressing at all, but remaining at 0,0%.

After unfortunately having been too busy with other things, I’ve now returned to my still existing PSU problem. I hope a couple of new observations might shed a different or at least slightly brighter light at things... As to your question, I think I don't use embedded metadata, but have ...

Thanks for the hint, your questioned is answered there. I followed your advice, but the same as before: no XMP written.

Re: Wrong/incomplete file metadata displayed
No, it doesn't help. No XMP is written when re-importing the image after removing it from the catalog. Ctrl+S won't change that either.

Re: Syncing doesn't work any more
As I said in my other current post, psu is not able to write files into the respective directory. This only occurs with the two latest import direcrories; older ones work fine. So maybe the trouble has to do with Microsoft's latest Windows update which possibly changed permission handling?

Re: CR2/DxO thumbnails not always displayed
Thank you for your response which I got to see only now. I actually do "develop" CR2 to TIF, so no problem there. And I'm absolutely fine with a RAW representation that doesn't interpret proprietray editing information, dop files in this case. It is rather that I can clearly see the difference ...

Re: Wrong/incomplete file metadata displayed
I tried that and did not get any further because there aren't any XMP files in the directory. It appears psu is not able to write them.

There are 248 thumbs displayed. -- Additionally, I made a screenshot of the error message shown which you can find attached to this post.

Re: Wrong/incomplete file metadata displayed
Thank you for your reply. I tried that but got an error message box (screenshot attached). Basically, I didn't have any problems so far, and I don't have a new camera oder different file types in use; so why would the application behave differently all of sudden? Just a thought: Could it be somme ...
