I can now shoot RAW + JPG images with my Google Pixel 6a (&, presumably, later versions of the Pixel phone) &, at the moment at least, it is probably my most frequently used camera as it is always in my pocket. Google have decided to complicate things in an update, after initially giving the files the same name with just a .JPG or .DNG extension (& putting the RAWs in their own folder). The files are now all in one folder with the following formats
"PXL_20240321_150244338.RAW-02.ORIGINAL.dng" &
"PXL_20240321_150244338.RAW-01.COVER.jpg"
Versioning now doesn't happen automatically, presumably because of the difference in filenames.
On ingesting I currently use %FileName plus a text suffix (i.e. _R)
Am I correct that I could use "%FileName{left=22}" instead to strip out the differences and that that would leave the final .JPG or .DNG extension (in the example above I would end up with "PXL_20240321_150244338_R.jpg" & "PXL_20240321_150244338_R.dng". I wasn't sure if triple dotted original filenames might confuse matters & I would have to specify the extension. Or is there a better way of specifying the filename so both end up the same & will automatically get versioned?

Re: Versioning Google Pixel RAW + JPG images
So, in the absence of replies, I did a test & it worked fine (at least until Google mess with the filenames again).
It also helped me confirm the change of style in v2024 to indicate versioned images - a coloured bar down the right & a hamburger menu rather than the numbered tabs (as the manual still shows the tabs)
