Possible to specify 'associated' (not sidecar) files that batch process will affect?

Post by BlackrazorNZ »

Hi there,

Loving PhotoSupreme so far - literally does everything I want in a DAM - thanks Hert :)

One remaining question I have at the moment : Is it possible to specify 'associated' filetypes that accompany your images, even if Photo Supreme doesn't display or read them?

To explain more - I am using Photo Supreme and ON1 Photo Raw as my main processing and cataloging tools after ditching Lightroom, and one of the functions ON1 supports is Panorama Stitching. So I stitched some test images into a panorama, which ON1 saves in its proprietary .onphoto extension format. Then I export a JPG copy of that format for general use.

The .onphoto format does not display on Photo Supreme, and I didn't expect it to. However, when I run a batch rename on the JPEG, the rename process affects the .on1 file of the same name, but it doesn't rename the .onphoto extension file that the .on1 file is actually the sidecar file for.

Perhaps some pictures will help explain:

Folder in Photo Supreme after I ran the batch rename on the JPEG panorama stitch :

... and the same folder viewed in Explorer. You can see that the batch rename renamed a) the JPEG and b) the .on1 file that is the sidecar for the .onphoto file - but not the .onphoto file itself.

Essentially what I am asking is if you can specify 'accompanying' files that will be affected by batch rename processes, or if not, how to write a batch rename rule that will affect all files in the same folder that have the same filename as the image being batched but any extension - essentially, 'rename all files that match <filename>.*'

Thanks for any help.
