Import Settings

Post by Dismayed »

I've imported a number of files in during my PSU testing. But now I'd like to bring in the rest of my folders without duplicating what has already been imported. Will PSU re-import and duplicate what I have if I set the import at the parent directory that contains all of my photos? Or will it scan folders that have already been imported to see if anything new should be brought into the catalog?

If you import a folder that is (partially) already in the database then the files that already exist won't be imported again. Another way of importing files for a folder that already exists in the database is by right clicking on the Folder and then select "Verify Folder -> Verify Folder All or Quick (I personally always use Quick).

Thank you, Hert. That's what I had hoped would be the behavior. You've clearly put a lot of thought and hard work into PSU!
