Create a label set from an xls or csv file

Post by oversampling »

Does anyone know if this is possible in PSU?
I need several label sets in PSU but I would hate to create them one by one...

Thanks for the script suggestion Geoff. I was actually trying to create "label sets" not just labels.

Some disclosure about the labelling process: I would need to assign crew people labels to the photos of the boats competing in sailing regattas. The sailing season spreads across several months and the boats competing in each regatta are always the same (same bow number/crews).
For each boat at the beginning of the season I though to create a label set (named after the bow number) containg all the labels of the crew people.
This would speed up the process of assigning the crew labels to the photos of each regatta, as I would simply drag and drop into each photo the label sets of the bow numbers appearing in that picture.
This photo shows bow numbers 2, 45, 33 and 67? It would be enough to drag these 4 label sets into the photo to have all the crew names of the 4 boats imported as labels in it.
As I already have the crew people list for each bow number I am looking for a way to import it as label set into PSU...

In the absence of a solution to your question, these other options may help:
  • drag and drop the individual labels from 'recently used' to the label set
  • copy and paste the labels from one photo of a particular boat to all other photos of that boat (ALT+SHIFT+C & ALT+SHIFT+V in Windows), or
  • set up relationships between the boat and the crew members, so that assigning the bow number label automatically adds all the crew (see Feature explained: Apply multiple related labels with one click).
