[solved] PSu Migration to a new computer - Where are my Favorites?

Post by freudenthaler »

I successfully managed to migrate all my photos and catalogue to my new computer. I found the location of my defined profiles, batch-scripts, rename rules, watermarks and upload/SMTP-definitions. Most of this stuff is stored under

Code: Select all

C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\IDimager Systems, Inc
Also, my collections & portfolio are in their right place – these seem to be stored inside the catalogue, right?
So what is missing? My favorites!

I have plenty of queries & dynamic searches stored inside my favorites and would be happy, if I could also just copy over them instead of having to building the queries from scratch again.

Can anybody please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Favorites are stored inside the database. When opening the catalog you should have your favorites.

Strange, so why is the favorites panel empty then? It's still the same catalog, because I moved the whole SSD containing the entire catalog to the new computer & relocated the fotos...

Took the database from my recent backup and huurah: favorites are back again :D
But I still have no clue what went wrong with the current catalog?

BTW, I noticed that a backup-folder also contains all my user settings :!: That's an easy way to access all user data. Thx Hert for that.

Merry christmas and enjoy your holidays!
