Latest release 26th August 2018: folder display

Post by rfcat »

Hi,
I have installed the latest release, restart PS and all my folders are on display. Okay, found out how to restore to my previous setting, but one complete folder has reverted to an old location. I have tried moving the folder and was only able to move the sub-folders. The folder and sub-folders shows the correct locations in Finder just no in PS.
Currently reverifying the folders while trying to locate the missing folder in PS.
Your thoughts and ways to fix the issue?
Ian

I had to restart PS again to recover and delete the xtra folders and then the missing folder appeared in the correct place.

OK, I'm confused. "Okay, found out how to restore to my previous setting" is what I want to do, but I've *not* found how to do that, so someone please explain.

More to the point: 4000+ folders in no obvious order is *not* what I want to deal with. I move folders constantly; this long list is maddening.

@joeldinda; can you send me a copy of your catalog database. Best not to change anything yet. It could well be just a display issue. But I’d need your catalog to check it.

Thank you for the file.

I don't see anything wrong though. This is what I see in folders. Is that also what you see?

No, 'fraid not, though that's what it showed until last night. The display I get today seems to show every folder as "Make this the Top Level Folder." Selecting ALL and unchecking the bunch brings up a three-folder display, none of which should be top. Unchecking those returns another large group....

Tried reimporting the backup to no avail.

Build 1631 is uploaded and can be downloaded from the website or the User Control Panel. Can you confirm that this build fixes the folder display?
