Benefits of upgrading from V2?

I've been using IdImager and Photo Supreme for quite a while as my main DAM.

However I have never seen any advantage to upgrade from V2 which still serves me well, with one exception....

Performance!

I often wait several seconds/minutes after assigning keywords to my RAW files before I can add additional keywords. Sometimes this improves a bit after compacting the database, but not long after it becomes very slow.

I have around 300K of image files that are in the PS database.

Would an upgrade really benefit me or do I need to be looking at some other aspect to resolve this problem.

Once in the database, performance is not much of an issue to find files.
