Greetings,
I was experimenting with "relationships" in the catalog, and would now like to delete some experimental relationships that I created. However, there is no option to do so (that I have found). When I right-click on a relationship, I get the ability to edit it, but no option to delete it. Any ideas?
OSX version, if that makes any difference.
Christopher

Re: Remove a relationship in the catalog
Click the black arrow located to the left of one of the pertinent labels to display its relationship. Select and delete that relationship using the Delete key. Do the same with the other pertinent label.
Re: Remove a relationship in the catalog
In addition to Mike's reply...most Mac keyboards don't have a delete key (though a few do). The typical Mac keyboard stroke for a delete operation is Cmd-Bksp and that also works in PSU

Hello
Mike's tip didn't work in my PSU (build 3.3.0.2598 64bit, Win10) ... where is this black arrow left of the relationship? ...behind the blue one? ... perhaps i need better glasses to find it ... TIA for any successful hint

Re: Remove a relationship in the catalog
You already expanded the black arrow (left of the label name).
Right click on the relationship->delete

Re: Remove a relationship in the catalog
Hert
thx for your fast response ... right click on relationship opens menu without any delete option (s. attached Pic) ... also delete key in this situation didn`t work ... is it correct to click on the blue arrow or on the underlined line (e.g. "Stefanie [Ehefrau]) below the label "David" ... or is the relationship shown somewhere else?
Sorry for my unqualified question

Re: Remove a relationship in the catalog
Dino,
I think you need to go into "edit relationship" and hit the "x" in the fields "as" and "to"
I am not going to try that in with my DB but I think that is the obvious thing to do...
Let us know if that works.
Cheers,
Michael

Re: Remove a relationship in the catalog
I just gave it a try...
It works this way:
click on the relationship once and then hit the delete key...
See attached screenshot
I hope that helps
Michael
PS: if you ever asnwered "no" and clicked "Don't ask me again" then you might have to reset the Don't ask me again questions in the help menu!
