I wish to assign labels, keywords etc offline on my laptop, with subsequent updating the database on a main computer (I suppose it is legal to have a copy of PSU on a laptop). What is the workflow for such offline work, and how to synchronise the offline (laptop) database with the main database?

offline cataloguing workflow?
Re: offline cataloguing workflow?
Toomas,
Copy the databases (catalog and thumbs) to the laptop, there work offline, come back home and copy the databases back to the main computer.
Hope that helps

Could these files be copied to the cloud, something like Dropbox, then copied to the main computer? This would also provide a backup when on the road.IDimager wrote:Toomas,

If Dropbox is a medium for duplicating files then i don't see why that wouldn't work. Hert

Re: offline cataloguing workflow?
Thanks. I still have questions. The file structure of the laptop is different from the main computer (e.g. number of HDDs and their labels). I backuped the database on the main computer (processed "Backup IDImager Data" from Tools menu). After copying the backup to the laptop and opening PSU, I got error messages. Then I mapped the database folders to the folders of the laptop. No more errors, but the thumbs/previews do not show.
