I think I am a semi-active idimager user. +20k pictures organized.
From my visit here and on the www.idimager.com homepage, I can understand, that Supreme is the future.
It might be a smart move, I don't know. I haven't tried it yet, and will probably not try it in the near future. idi works fine for me for now.
But from what I see in this forum and on the homepage, I can tell that the marketing behind this is a disaster.
Homepage looks awfull, like something not loading completely. Not aligned, and with four ugly and very different looking big tiles.
And where is the simple explanation about what this is all about? Hert is normally an excelent communicator, but I would have expected some information about the idea behind this, the non technical part as well. The priorities (why no file manager?) etc. It might have been explained in forum for Mac users, but that is not where I spend my time. It should be on the front page.
For years we have received a very fine support here. Fast and helpful, so this change and the way it is carried out is really a surprise to me.

In agreement ... and very sadly so.

I'm going to have to agree. I can't even find a clear and concise statement of the advantages of PS over IDI. Improved ease of use? How? Scalability? Stability? I know it must exist somewhere.

Early on, Hert took the absurd position that PSU and IDI were different products and wouldn't be compared. Then he participated in a thread on just such a comparison:Dismayed wrote:I'm going to have to agree. I can't even find a clear and concise statement of the advantages of PS over IDI. There's some info there, but it may not be all you're looking for.
