Photos are being shown in the timeline based on the upload date, rather than as I would have expected the creation date. Usually not an issue, but sometimes for really time sensitive "stuff" it is.
1- Any way to change the behaviour?
2- I know there is a way to change the date so that the photo stores in the correct date bucket, I've done it, I just can't do it now when I need to (please don't ask). What am I misremembering?
I feel like the South end of a horse facing North, sorry for the stupid questions (yes, sometime there are stupid questions).
Thanks

Photo Dates
Re: Photo Dates
The photo date used for the timeline is not the upload date.
To change a date for a thumb, select the thumb, right click -> Operations -> Redate files
Code: Select all
The general purpose "photo date" is constructed as:
first XMP's exif:DateTimeOriginal
if not exists XMP's exif:DateTimeDigitized
If not exists XMP's tiff:DateTime
if not exists EXIF's date time original
if not exists EXIF's date time digitized
if not exists EXIF's base date (0x132)
if not exists File Last Modification Date
Info Panel shows XMP's exif:DateTimeDigitized
