PSU 2025 > One Requests and one question

Post by JensSteyer »

Hello Hert,

PSU 2025 - Thank you for your work, I just bought the upgrade from the 2024 to the 2025.

And of course I have a request and a question:

Request:
All catalog labels of an image can now be displayed with SHIFT+CTRL+L - that's good and much better than this tiny arrow. (Robert showed me this arrow, I had always overlooked it. Thanks, Robert. :) )

I only need:

"Copy all catalog labels to the clipboard" and "Paste all catalog labels from the clipboard".
As I sometimes assign a lot of catalog labels, I find the two things (copy and paste) at the very bottom and have to scroll first........... :?

Hence my request so that copying and pasting the catalog labels works immediately:
Please create two keyboard shortcuts for "Copy all catalog labels to the clipboard" and one for "Paste all catalog labels from the clipboard".

Then it is much much much much faster to use. :)

And now my question. I want every imported image (which does not contain any labels) to be linked to the same standard catalog labels (my copyright, for example) directly when it is imported.

Robert gave me the tip to do my job via >Details >Profiles.
Okay, that works, but it is more laborious than if it happens automatically when importing.

How can I do this faster > assign a profile to each image right when importing?

Thank you in advance, Jens

In a import profile you can configure labels to be added.

When you use Shift-Ctrl-L not only does it list/tick the relevant labels, but at the bottom are options to "Copy assigned labels to clipboard" and also "Paste labels from clipboard" the copy assigned labels will then allow you to make a different selection and paste to all those selected.

How can I automatically add the profile there...

Thank you for your lightning-fast answer, I could do it with this method. :)

But I work differently: Using a plan, the current 2025 folder is checked every time PSU is started. This works quickly and reliably.

How can I automatically add the profile (with copyright etc.) during the "scheduled review" and import of new or changed files?

Hello Geoff, thank you very much to you too.

It's good that you can now access this menu using a keyboard command.

But sometimes I have a lot of catalog labels that I want to copy. So it's not enough to press SHIFT+CTRL+L, I also have to scroll down a long way in this menu.

So here are two suggestions:
- Two additional keyboard commands for Copy all Labels and Paste all Labels.
- Or perhaps easier to implement: Arrange these commands at the top instead of the bottom of the menu:

Yes I would fully agree about having fixed items above extendible lists!

I have now opened a support request for both of my things

Request 1: PASTE and INSERT of all catalog labels using a keyboard command and
Request 2: adding an import profile during import, scheduled folder monitoring when starting PSU

and hope that this will soon be integrated into the new PSU 2025.

Both really save a lot of work and make working with PSU even more fun.
