Re: Photo Supreme v2025 is released
I am excited about the new release!
I'm one who strongly prefers to stay out of all things AI, and I see there is a new AI panel described in the email. Is there an explicit opt out for this? If I ignore the panel, is Ollama still using my data to learn from?

Thank you so much!I am excited about the new release!
PSU will not have AI enabled by default. You'll need to signup at OpenAI for this or you install the standalone Ollama software. FWIW, Ollama runs locally and does not send your image to the cloud. Ollama does require a solid hardware configuration to run the AI models.I'm one who strongly prefers to stay out of all things AI, and I see there is a new AI panel described in the email. In short: The AI panel will do nothing without you configuring it first.
The AI feature, as well as choosing between OpenAI or Ollama is described at page 7 of the Artificial Intelligence manual:
https://manualsu.idimager.com/version10 ... igence.pdf
I recommend you read through (at least) that page.

Re: Photo Supreme v2025 is released
Hert, there appears to be a discrepancy or I don't understand AI.
"Ollama, a locally installed AI solution, can also analyze the content of your image. When you use this feature in Photo Supreme, the software sends a small 480-pixel preview of your image to Ollama [emphasis added]."
"Since Ollama runs directly on your computer, all processing is done locally, without needing an internet connection."

Marvelous, thank you Hert!Hert wrote: 18 Feb 25 16:21 In short: The AI panel will do nothing without you configuring it first.
I'm really looking forward to trying out the new features and especially the new sharing options to messages and email.
And yes I will read the manual!
Re: Photo Supreme v2025 is released
I'm in the Control Panel and when I click on the Switch to PS 2025 from my 2024 link I get the following message:
There is no upgrade possible for the selected license.
Please contact sales@idimager.com for more information on upgrading your license.
I've upgraded every version since about v2. Why no upgrade this time?

Re: Photo Supreme v2025 is released
I understand the confusion and the wording in the manual is now slightly changed.sanphotgn wrote: 18 Feb 25 16:47When you use this feature in Photo Supreme, the software sends a small 480-pixel preview of your image to Ollama [emphasis added]."
Ollama runs as a service on your computer, where OpenAI runs as a service in the cloud.
If you configure PSU to use a locally installed Ollama then Photo Supreme sends a 480px preview to that locally installed service. When PSU sends an image to a locally installed Ollama service, it does not leave your computer.

Re: Photo Supreme v2025 is released
Thank you Hert for this release.
There are some things I will never use, because I have different software for or because I do not need something like "tethering"
But there are some features I find great and they will improve my workflow and work with my images.

Re: Photo Supreme v2025 is released / PROBLEM
Just bought the update, as I do every time, trusting things are rather getting better than worse. Had my database ugraded after starting the application. Result is syncing doesn't work anymore. Ctrl+S doesn't do anything, the red "unsynced" dot won't disappear. New versions (jpg) of the file (cr2) are not provided with any data of the original, thus remain "blank", and labels have to be added manually. After restarting PS, the colour chosen for the "print" was set to the RAW's colour without me doing anything. Trying to sync after manullay setting the colour again didn't help anything. Screenshot of the unsynced state after manulally setting colour and labels attached. Not a good way to end the day.
