I have a seriously problem importing DNG files. The import seems running ok, but the thumbnails are empty. When I click on a thumbnail to get the full frame picture, I get an empty screen with an error massage "ungültige Größe" (invalid size).
Can anyone help me to fix this problem?
Thanks
Joachim

Re: DNG import failed
Have you tried running a "Catalogue|Compact" on the thumbnail database ? Perhaps also perhaps a "Tools|Build missing Thumbnails and previews" ?
Also a restart of the program sometimes sorts oddities like this out?

Re: DNG import failed
Yes - I tried both. But without success.
I tried also to make a new empty database to retry it - also without success.
I'm a little bit perplexed

Re: DNG import failed
For completion: I can open the DNG file with Capture One as well as Excire
So it seems the file is ok, only the import in Photo supreme makes trouble
After some additional tests I was able to limit the behavior: Only DNG-Files produced with Apple iPhone 12 / ProCamera App are effected. I was however heavy surprised that this behavior appears only with the actual version of PSU - older version are working correctly in this case

Re: DNG import failed
I'm currently on 6691 release under Win11 and a DNG from my Google Pixel 9 Pro and it loaded a DNG and matching JPG no problem with the thumbnails. ...

Re: DNG import failed
I have both iPhone 16 Pro and 12 Pro phones. DNG photos upload successfully from both in all versions I have used up to 6694. This is on a Mac.
To be clear, at first I first thought you meant the native camera app from an iPhone 12 Pro. But I checked and saw that there is a rather expensive app called ProCamera in the App Store. Is this what you are using on a non-Pro iPhone 12?
In either case, you should send this to the support email to see if Hert can work it out with you. Be sure to include the PSu version you are using and your operating system.

Re: DNG import failed
Dear all thank you for hints and support.
After using PSU many years and making a lot of experiences and testing I decided to say good by PSU.
Reasons are the continued problems with the database, extrem sluggish performance, problems with some file formats and some other.
From now on I will change to Excire Foto (after intense testing). Only the reconstruction of the category hierarchy will be a little bit expense. But the reward is an extremely quick performance and real stable operation paired with sophisticated search algorithms.

Re: DNG import failed
I tried Excire and, while it's decent, it doesn't have the features or flexibility of PSU. Just 2 dealbreakers: PSU supports my Affinity Photo files and Excire does not. PSU groups my versions together while Excire does not (or at least I couldn't figure it out). I also prefer the metadata/Details filtering section in PSU. But I don't have issues with performance on my Mac so I guess if I did I'd look elsewhere too.joreku wrote: 29 Dec 24 13:32 Dear all thank you for hints and support.
