v2024 keeps trying to import old files

Hi, I upgraded to 2024 this evening and the upgrade went smoothly except for one issue. Every time I start Photo Supreme, I get a message at the bottom of the screen saying "Continuing the import for 26 files". Then one activity process pops up and it runs the Synchronize Service. I was able to note a few of the file names and I found a folder that has 24 of the old files in it. I verified the folder but that didn't solve the problem. I then removed the offending files from the database. After restarted the message now said it was continuing with 2 files. I went back to the folder and ran a quick verification and imported the files back into the database. After restarting, I got the message again stating it was continuing to import 26 files.

I would have gone directly to mantis to report this but I don't remember my password or even which email address I used to access it in the past. It's been a while.

About the 26 files that keep generating thumbs on startup. I assume that is the case because those files cannot have their thumbnail generated.

Would it be possible to send one of such files?

There's no indication that its actually trying to create thumbs, the activity bar just says "Synchronize service". I'll email one or two to the support email address. 24 of them are very old (1999) from an old point and shoot olympus camera the shot jpg only. There are 2 newer ones that raw and jpg files in the catalog but I but I think it's the jpg files that the system is trying to synchronize. The names of all the files don't show every time below the activity bar while the synchronize service is running. It just pops up a few of them at the activity bar advances.

In your case, the photo date is set to 1899. That is the zero date in PSU which PSU uses to identify files that were never completely imported.

Try to redate the file with Ctrl+Shift+D (macOS uses Cmd+Shift+D)

Hi, I upgraded to 2024 this morning and I get
"Continuing the import of 1 files
Continuing the thumbnail building for 164794 files in sets of 5000 files"
and Photo Supreme is not responding at all while showing under General Service
"Finding Missing Thumbnails" at 0.0%

Did this eventually continue?
If not, kill it and restart PSU. Does it then continue?

Restarting PSU finally helped!
