Web server consumes one licens?

Post by Username »

For the 2024 Server Edition - Is there a way to run the web service without running the PSU Server logined in as admin?
When you have the Server started and launch the web service you are consuming one user licens so to make any use of the Web service you need one extra licens.

Is that as it is meant to be or can I launch the web server on it own somehow?

The HTTP Web Server uses the currently logged in user. It does consume a license if you would like to keep that up and running all the time.

Thank you Hert.
Will there be any stand alone web server licenses to buy or will we see a separate service like the PSO I did beta test before?

I really would like to have a web based service available - with a license of it own if needed - where I and my family could log into and work from.
Being forced to start up and shut down PSU on a remote server each time one needs web access would add a lot of complexity and would cost and lock up a licence even when idling.
