Face detection file format

Is it possible that face detection works not on all file formats? I have Tifs, DNGs and HEICs and face detection does not work on them.

Face Detection is done on the memory bitmap (in other words: after loading) and is not relayed to the file format.

Maybe the face are too small?

The weirdest thing happened. Today as I tried it worked for the DNG and HEIC.
For the TIF files it did not. I get the following error:
