Photo viewer change

I am on Version4954, Windows 64 bit. Today when try to preview a photo or double click on it is opening in Windows Photo Viewer, not the built in Viewer Photo Supreme. Tried make change is settings->General Settings->Images open in xxxxxx. Still opens with Windows Photo Viewer. Did something change recently?

What is the file extension of the file that you are trying to open? Files Extensions that are in Preferences -> File Handling -> Other File Types are always opened in the OS its default app

Thanks for reply. Actually it got more confusing as the day went on. Sometimes things came up in Windows app and other times in Photo Supreme viewer. For a while it was RW2 in the Windows app and JPG in the Photo Supreme viewer. Then later it became almost all Photo Supreme. Makes no logical sense. Other than restarts of Photo Supreme and one reboot of the machine along the way nothing changed.
Today things seem back to normal. At this time I have no reasonably theories about this. Things don't just randomly change.

Anyway thanks for note about preferences. I will check that out but I don't think that is the issue is there.
