Adding folders and files via Verify Folder locks up PSu

I just started experiencing this:
I have 136 raw (.CR3) images in a folder and imported into the catalog.
After editing in DxO Photolab I export to JPEG into a dedicated folder, then Verify folder to pickup the JPEGs in PhotoSupreme.
This is my normal workflow and never given me issue before.
But today, I have locked up PSu 4 times. I have to Force Quit PSu. Activity monitor is showing 0.1 or 0.2 % CPU.
When I reopen it I see the JPEGs in the catalog. But, I fear having to Force quit may corrupt the database.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Just upgraded to the latest Single User version 4928.

lots of people seem to be experiencing this - see viewtopic.php?p=134649#p134649 - would that suggest the GPU driver theory is unrelated given report here is for Apple?

Agreed that the GPU driver is likely related to Windows machines. (if at all)

I do not have any issues verifying folder or importing to catalog on Win10 and PSU 4923. In my case version detection by import is turned off.

Thanks for adding a new topic about this here.
I was tempted to filed this in Mantis, but unfortunately I cannot consistently reproduce it.
I very regularly use Verify Folders for Files as part of my workflow - simply because I typically put together a selection or images for editing in PSu, then open them all in DxO PhotoLab for raw development, exporting to the same folder with file name extension "_print" or _edited" and, back in PSu, use Verify Folders for Files to add them as versions of the original.
I would at least half the time PSU simply freezes, but I have not found a consistent way to replicate it.

has happened to me for the first time with 4923 - Verify Folder Quick on Windows11. I've not upgraded for weeks, and until now, successfully Verify Folders quite often. After reading all these posts, had thought until today it wasn't affecting me ;-(

After killing PSu then re-running, the two running services in the screen capture automatically completed in the blink of an eye.

and the same for me last night on a timed Verify on the latest release 4932. The release has been running on the machine since it was made available and this is the first time it has frozen on this machine W10.

I just updated to built 4934 and have not again experienced the hanging. But now switching versions using the small tabs no longer works.
I used to be able to toggle through the versions by clicking the tabs. Now always only the main version is being displayed. I restarted several times, no change.
Fortunately, I can still filter for versions and then the correct one is displayed.
Note: I am using "Version Set Display - as set in Categories".

Yes can confirm this the little side tabs display but don't select the correct image.

I have done a repair install of Windows home and the current 4934 and the first time I used Quick Verification It locked up again on running the service. There was a small blue circle turning for some time and only way out even when that stopped was to forcibly close the program

My experience... no issues wuth 4921, but the jump to 4934 and now seeing intermittent lock-up when using the verify feature. So far, not able to track down a repeatable sequence.

Downloaded 4936 and imported two lots of imiges with no lockup. But I have had some import OK befor but looks hopfull.

4934 still crashes every other time while I select the quick check.
The red dot (not synchronized) and the number of assigned labels remain unchanged until I change the orner and go back to the folder, which is definitely very inconvenient.
Before the last version it was possible to assign a star and after that there was a reaction from PSU.
