Adjust Geometry?

Post by Rhod »

Hi - I've been a PSu user for some years now and almost exclusively use it for its DAM properties. In this regard, the more I use it, the more amazing I find it! It's a really wonderful tool for sorting thousands of images.

I also tried using 'adjust' in the early days and I must admit I found it a bit clunky, so I've been using various external editors to make adjustments. However having upgraded to the most recent version I decided to have a play around with 'adjust' again and was pleasantly surprised. But as far as I can tell there is no option to adjust the geometry of a photo. As an oil painter I am constantly photographing my work and sometimes I just get it wrong and an image will need adjusting (parallax?). Other times there will be some glare on the painting which necessitates moving slightly to one side to take the photo, causing the same issue.

I don't think this exists at the moment in the 'adjust' module but I'm happy to be corrected! If not, is it a planned addition for future versions please?

Thanks
Rhod

As a follow up it would also be very useful to be able to adjust for what I think is called 'barrel distortion', because sometimes when photographing large work I get this problem where the edges of straight canvases seem to bow outwards.
