Bookmarks??

I give up. I have read through the manual and googled, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to set a bookmark. I'm sure it's quite simple, but so far it has eluded me.

Can someone please tell me how to do this?

A warm welcome to the forum.

You can change a bookmark by clicking the bookmark indicator on thumbs.
Alternatively press the B key on the keyboard

That little bookmark symbol does not show up on my thumbs.

Also, since I have sent screenshot, one other thing I have noticed. The thumbnails do not appear really clear. You can see in the above image. I have tried changing the size of the thumb but it doesn't solve the problem.

In Settings, Image Preview Size is 1440; Image Preview Quality is 85. My monitor is an Apple Pro XDR, 6016 x 3384; computer MBP M1 Max; Ventura 13.2.1.

For comparison, this is a screenshot from another photo app; very same image.

I never change my monitor settings because I've never needed to. Is there something I can change, somewhere, that will make these thumbnails better?

The bookmark icon appears when hovering the mouse over the thumb. You can also press the B key on your keyboard to open the bookmarks for the selected thumb(s).

About unsharp thumb...try if a restart of the software draws it clear. If not, try to rebuild the thumb manually with Cmd+Opt+T

When I hover the mouse over a thumb, the only thing that "appears" are the symbols to rotate the thumbnail left or right. The "B" works, tho, so that's fine.

I'm a new user and really like the features of PhotoSupreme and am just trying to get things the way I want them. The thumbs still will not clear up. I just have a trial amount of images in, so not knowing what it really does, I rebuilt the image preview size @ 3200. I shut down PS, shut down my machine and even with a fresh start, the images do not clear up. Screenshot below shows same image in PS and LR. Are there any other settings that control this?

I have the same issue in regards to bookmarks - nothing happens when hovering but clicking on "B" works. This is on build 4840 on a Mac running Catalina.

Same here running Ventura with build 4843, but I found that you don't actually have to see the icon. If you click in the general vicinity of where the bookmark icon would be in the upper left, the bookmark menu shows.

Another tip: while the shortcut "B" gets you the bookmark menu, you can toggle the plain white bookmark with "ctrl-space", if that is the only one you want,

It might be worth adding for anyone running older versions that in previous PSU versions the bookmark icon was a heart shape.

I ran across a listing of keyboard shortcuts for PS and it lists using Control-Spacebar, which works as well.

Also note that clicking on the bookmark item brings up a list (0 - 5) with "0" for "not bookmarked". Applying 1-5 results in different colored bookmarks (I like that). And you can configure the names for these colors in Preferences - Catalog - Bookmark names. Works very well here (on Windows). A really great addition/upgrade from the heart symbol (which I never really liked).

My thumbnails look good at 100%, but even at 300% they are not pixelated, like yours. I have Image Preview Size at 1280 and Preview Quality at 85% - but I thought that setting only affects the previews (and thumbs database) but and not the actual thumbs themselves ... !?
Are you using a high-resolution monitor? Perhaps that affects the thumbnail display ...
