untyped files recognised as versions

Sometimes when version detecting, I might have a number of files with various tails but are not included in the version types - is there any kind of 'catch all' type for versions which are not recognised as a particular type? or in the status panel? Thankyou

I think (not tried it myself) you could set up a catch all in the setup options for Versions with perhaps *.* as the last item so anything that didn't match previous options would be captured ?
