How to disable stacking?

During v6, I pretty much ignored all the stacking features. It is nothing I will ever use.

Now with v7, when I import pictures and define versions, I am finding all kinds of photos are being defined as Stacked merely because one is the original and the second is a version.

Or I take a burst of fast-moving things like birds, and they are now Stacks due to small differences in timestamps.

I looked in Preferences but could find nowhere to disable the (apparent) automatic definition of Stacks.

Is there a way to shut this behavior off?

Most likely your have stacking switched on in your import profile. Disable it there.

No, apply stacking is UNCHECKED.

I'm up to 147 images stacked. Yet I've never chosen that.

Is there a way to REMOVE the stacking attribute from images that seem to be 'tagged' that way?

(Figured it out - Stacking > Unstack selected files.)

So we're probably overlooking something here.

Use this as your stacking rule. That will prevent you from getting stacks as this rule *never* leads to a match.

As well as on import, PSU used to stack files when 'verifying folder / scanning for missing files. Setting the following stops that:

I use Verifying constantly to get version detection happening. I'll try this, thanks.
