file(s) silently deleted when Rename Files results in duplicate file name
I auto-bracket my photos, generally resulting in 3 files with the same EXIF DateTime(s). I generally manually delete 2 of the files before importing into PSu. Then I select+all (ctrl+A) & rename the file(s) (ctrl+shift+R) to have names like <YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS.JPG>. You can spot the potential issue - 2 or more files may result in the same filename - a naming "collision". PSu appends <(nnn)> to the 2nd & successive duplicate name to workaround the issue, or at least I thought it did. But now seems only the 2nd file is renamed correctly with "(001)" being appended; the 3rd & successive files are silently deleted! Yikes! I've wasted a whole afternoon on my silly mistake & PSu's silent & less-than-polite deletions. Fortunately I was able to use a tool to recover all files (2,000+) from the recently formatted camera SD card before anymore photos were taken, but I've lost all filenames & will take another 1/2 day to get back to where I was before the ctrl+shift+R. It seems like a bug to me & will add an issue to Mantis if appropriate after any comments.

For anyone's interest, my post above has resulted in Build 4581; "Fix for possible rename collision causing files to overwrite each other". Thanks Hert.
