Thumbnail view not updated after adding images to catalog

I added some new image files to a folder, started PS7 and selected Verify > Folder > Verify Folder Quick. The folder was scanned and a list of the new files were displayed in a list within a dialog window with a dropdown to the right of each file. The dropdown defaults to "Add to Catalog" which I did not change. I selected OK, the images were added but the thumbnail view was not updated. That view was sorted by date, descending so the new images should have been placed at the top of the list. I saw no way to refresh the current thumbnail list so I selected another folder, then reselected the initial one. The thumbnails were then displayed at the top of the list.

You can refresh a list by pressing F5 or Ctrl+R (Windows).
MacOS users press Cmd+R

Thank you. I think that the list should be updated automatically however.
