FTS expression tree is too large message

I get the title message when I try to compress the catalog.
I know there is another old thread mentioning FTS expression tree is too large, but the context seems to be different.
I haven't deleted or moved files outside recently, which could have caused the message.

While I could live ignoring it, I suspect it is not a good thing, if this means it is no longer to periodically compact the catalog.
If anyone has any suggestion of how to fix this issue it would be much appreciated.

I just found out in the last import I mistakenly used a dash - instead of an underscore _ in my naming.
That is probably what has caused the message, will confirm when I have batch renamed the files.

That was definitely not the reason. There are plenty of other files containing a dash in the name and in the past it has not been a problem.
I keep having the same problem compressing the catalog.

Any suggestion of what could I try to trace the origin of the problem and fix it?

Hi Hert,

Sorry I was away on holidays.
I update the software promptly whenever there is a notification.
The error message above remained throughout July, it appeared every time I tried to compact the database.

Today as I returned from holidays I got notification of an update and updated to the latest, which required updating the catalog.
Unfortunately I was too stupid to remember doing a backup and now I am stuck.

I got the error message below:

to which for the moment I said abort.

I tried roll back to a previous version of PSu, but I cannot because this catalog is not backward compatible and as I said I have no backup.

Any suggestion on what I should do is highly appreciated - if possible bearing in mind that I am not that competent...

Please share the catalog database. Only the cat.db is needed, not the thumbs.db.
Best to upload a ZIPPED copy of the cat.db file to your cloud space and send a download link to support@idimager.com.

The catalog is larger than before, but not excessively so.
