Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
The newest update for Photo Supreme is build 7.2.0.4390.
This build has some significant additions which I'd like to highlight here:
Stack Markers
Version 7.2 introduces Stack Markers. A stack marker is a marker that you can assign to a stacked image. That allows for a smoother workflow when specific images in a stack are marked. Any image in the stack (including the top item!) can get 0, 1, or multiple markers assigned to it.
In the States section there is a new Stack Details section with the several Stack Markers under it. This makes it very efficient to make cross sections of the catalog with markers as part of if.
Automatic Stack Detection
In V7 it was already possible to do stack detection. Now in 7.2 this is extended. In the Preferences you can now define detection rules for a stack's top item, and for every stack marker.
Alias relationships
V7 introduced role based relationship browsing. In 7.2 this is extended with "alias relationships". In the relationship definition you can configure the relationship to be an "alias". Alias relationships are there to relate two catalog labels that represent the same entity but which you prefer to manage separately. For instance: a catalog label for a woman with its birth name, and a catalog label for that same women with her married name(s).
Improvements and fixes
As with every version, this version too got its fair share of improvements and bug squashing. One I'd like to highlight is the possible delay to end the application's process after closing the application.

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Ah, thank you for the Alias relationship, I've been puzzling for a while now how to handle name changes! I shall be off to investigate it

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Ah, Um, not going well here ? Installed, accepted d/b upgrade, loaded login screen, then when the main screen loaded its way over size for my screen! As though the screen parameters have been read wrongly, choosing to go less than full screen causes it to overfill the screen and having problems resizing it ?
Is it my setup or anyone else having similar problems ?
edit: Restored backup and re-installed v7.1.5.4366 and all is working OK. Looking for feedback from others or Hert ?

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Same issue here. Oversized full screen and when I try to reduce the size the application "disappears" from the screen and I have to restart PSU.
Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
No problems with the screen displayed on my M1 Mac machines.

Ah yes, I assume horses also get their name name changed every now and then.G8DHE wrote: 29 Jun 22 16:18 Ah, thank you for the Alias relationship, I've been puzzling for a while now how to handle name changes! I shall be off to investigate it

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
I'm afraid that 4393 is much the same, opens up far too wide for the screen and unable to adjust the window size by pulling the righthand and lower edges in
Using Win10.

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
I have the same problem. Had to change my screen resolution to 1920/1080 for a correct screen. My Dell xps 13 normally runs at 3200/1800...
Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Double click the Windows title bar to max the window. After that all check after restarting PsuG8DHE wrote: 30 Jun 22 11:58 I'm afraid that 4393 is much the same, opens up far too wide for the screen and unable to adjust the window size by pulling the righthand and lower edges in

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Tried v4397 on W11. To no avail. The issue only exists in the advised magnification (200%). When I change the magnification to an other value the issue does not exist. Performed the procedure above.
Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Just tried 4400 version just the same Screen is 3840x2160 with a text scaling of 250%. Trying to move a border in to reduce the window size causes it to crash the window itself, but leaves it on the taskbar unable to be opened again only allows closing it as previous versions. Toggling the window by the double click, closing and restarting doesn't make any difference.

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Nothing changed in 7.2 compared to 7.1 that could explain this. Try to delete your IDImager registry key maybe?

Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
I thought I would try the update....
I have similar (same?) issue as Geoff... Dell XPS 3840x2160; 17"
The far left and far right sides seem to be cut off
Work around
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rt Click on Application
Properties
Compatibility
Change High DPI Settings
Override High DPI Settings
Select "System"
Re: Photo Supreme 7.2 is available
Update....
Updated GeForce Drivers.... Reboot... Problem is still there.
Can use the workaround, but the GUI does seem not seem to be as crisp (but maybe I am over thinking it)
Another test.... attached laptop to docking station....
Not connected to two additional monitors (17" laptop + 31" benq + 31" HP)
Start PSU,; same issue on laptop
Use WinKey plus left/right arrow keys to move PSU to Benq... All looks as expected
WinKey plus left/right arrow key; back to Laptop.... broke,
While on laptop.... WinKey + UP arrow .... Works as expected
Remove laptop from docking station.... broken again (regardless of what is done with the WinKey + arrows)
