I’m doing some testing to setup a new catalogue on MacOs 11.2.3 with different image files like tif, psd, psb, jpg, png, … and the corresponding raw files: fff or dng or nef with the same filename. The extension indicates if it is a raw file or an edited image.
Now I would like to use Automatic Version Detection to import my archive with thousands of files where the Main version detection method should be: “tif then jpg else raw” How should the Custom File Mask formula look like? I’m not familiar with code writing. Is there some kind of (simple) tutorial available?
Thanks a lot!
Main Version Detection Method

A warm welcome to the forum.
I haven't tried it here, but my first thought is as illustrated below.

Re: Main Version Detection Method
Thanks! This does the job! I even added psd and png and nef in the list and the version tabs on the thumbs follow the sequence in the settings.
