Replace thumbnail not working

Post by peterpix »

I created a square version of an image in the Adjust/crop utility and saved as a new jpeg. That worked fine. But when I went to close crop I made the mistake of accepting the changes or whatever it is called, which saved the square version as the original version. No problem - I remade the original from a tiff I have and overwrote the now square original. I can see in Windows Explore that that original jpeg is now not square again. I double-checked this by opening in Photoshop too. Not square there either. But the thumbnail of the original in PS is still square. It is definitely displaying the file name of the not square version. So I right-clicked and went Operations/Rebuild Selected Thumbnails. That doesn't work. So I clicked on the should-be-not-square image again and went Ctrl-Alt-T, but no luck. Also tried Ctrl-Alt-S and then Ctrl-Alt-T again but no dice.

Can anyone offer a solution here?

Could be that:
You probably have a crop for this image defined in Photo Supreme's recipe

If the latter then open the image in the editor and remove the Crop or clear the recipe.

Please be aware that edits are stored as parameters in a so-called "recipe". The image pixels remain untouched (unless you explicitly export to an image file).
