I have PSU on my computer & up until now I have always done the ingesting & sorting of files. Now I want to let my partner join in the fun
What is the best way to enable access with the catalog, etc so that everything is accessible in both logins and is, as far as possible, the same for both of us and preferences, etc. are preserved and are common to both logins?
At the moment everything including the catalog of all our photos seems to be located in "C:\Users\[MyUsername]\AppData\Local\IDimager Systems, Inc\" but could easily be copied over to another location.
Thanks.
Using Standalone version with multiple logins
Re: Using Standalone version with multiple logins
You can
1. Enable the login dialog in Preferences
2. Close PSU
3. Move the catalog files (cat.db and thumbs.db) to a folder that is accessible for both accounts on your computer
4. Both accounts should now be able to start PSU and select the catalog from the new folder

Re: Using Standalone version with multiple logins
Will all the other things such as import profiles profiles be found too by default?
If not how can I share them between the two logins so everything ends up in the same folders with the same copyright info, etc?
Thanks

Re: Using Standalone version with multiple logins
If you want to use a different app data folder then you need to start psu with a command line parameter. The command line parameters are described in the Maintenance quick manual. Find that in the ? icon of the left side bar
