Photo Supreme Files Disappeared

Today I came to my computer and Photo Supreme has disappeared since the last time I used it a few days ago.
It is a mystery as to what has happened. It hasn't been uninstalled as it still shows up on Control Panel | Programs but without an icon. The executable is gone and all the shortcuts don't work.

I re-installed and everything is fine, but this is a worrying mystery.

Any ideas????

Software doesn't uninstall itself. And from how you describe it, the software wasn't uninstalled but the files were removed.
Could be that you have a virus scanner installed that removed the files?

Thanks as always for the amazing personal response you give.

I installed the software again on Thursday. I went into the program and everything seemed ok. I had a quick browse of my photos by category.

Then today I tried to start the program and got a rather disturbing error. See attached.

My anti-virus program is Webroot SecureAnywhere. I've never had a problem with it before and didn't alert me to any actions it had taken.

Here is the catalog location and you can see it has been accessed.

I have a backup copy of the catalog from a week ago (just the catalog, not the thumbs database). But before I go the restore route I want to ensure I don't have something more sinister going on. I'm going to re-boot my PC and see if that helps.

You get the message that the database is read only. There's only one way that SQLite goes into read only mode and that is when the file is read only. Please exclude the database folder from the virus scanner to prevent it from interfering with the files.

Well, the reboot worked. Everything now fine. I have not changed the anti-virus settings or anything else.
