My old photos are scanned so the dates are not useful. I'd like to get them onto the timeline. What's the best way to do this?
I'll have to lie about the date since I don't know exact dates, but that's fine (for example, 1/1/1960 for photos from the 60's). It would be nice to have the concept of "decade" but if PhotoSupreme doesn't support that, I'm fine using the 1/1/xxxx trick.
Thanks...
Timeline: how to set the timestamp for photos?
Re: Timeline: how to set the timestamp for photos?
I found it: setting Technical > Date Time Original works.

Apart from editing the metadata details directly, you can also use the Redate feature for date changes (right click on thumb -> Operations -> Redate Files).

Re: Timeline: how to set the timestamp for photos?
Morning,
I have a lot of old scanned photos where I am uncertain about the date but I can always guess on a year. For these I have decide to use an invented date, which is April 27. I know I am guessing on the year but if I am wrong nobody will be able to say so.
If I have an old photo which I guess is from for example 1918, then I give it the date of 27 April 1918. Quite often I can see from the photo things that makes me go for another date. So when I see snow I may use 27 December instead of 27 April. And with a small child and a birthday cake I go for a more specific date (assuming I know the birth day)
This works ok for me as long as the date is not specifically 27 April. And when I see the date is 27 April at least I know the date is unknown.
Regards, Harald
