Documentation on Preferences
Hert, you say "make sure to leave all preferences at their defaults until you fully understand what they do" and I couldn't agree more. Please tell me where I can find documentation describing all the preferences.

Re: Documentation on Preferences
Enable "Tips" (CTRL+SHIFT+T) and hover the mouse pointer over the preference item you want described.

Re: Documentation on Preferences
I see the Tips, but I need more information so I can understand. Tips are good to remind people what they already know. I suspect the majority of users have been with this software from the beginning. For a new user like me. I needs to know more.jstartin wrote: 03 May 19 21:36 Enable "Tips" (CTRL+SHIFT+T) and hover the mouse pointer over the preference item you want described.

Re: Documentation on Preferences
Predictably, Hert is not responding.

Re: Documentation on Preferences
As is stated at the bottom of all Hert's posts:
"This is a User-to-User forum which means that users post questions here for other users.
Feature requests, change suggestions, or bugs can be logged in the ticketing system."
Your question "Please tell me where I can find documentation describing all the preferences." was answered by a user (me). The "tips" provided for preferences, including for the read and write settings under synchronize, are quite comprehensive but if you have specific questions then experienced users will be able to try and answer them if you post them one by one.
If you want to suggest/request an alternative form of documentation then the Mantis ticketing system is the place to do so.

Plus despite all that Hert responds often so I do feel that comment was a little unfair.
