Hi,
just switched from PSU v3 to v4, and noticed when doing a slide show the displayed picture is rather small centered in the middle but covers only 1/3 of the screen. Am I doing something wrong, are there some settings for the slide show to tune, or is this a bug?
I am running on a mac Mojave, displaying large enough jpgs e.g. 3840x2160, tried different screen resolutions 2560 x 1600, 1440x900, all the same.
Repro: I select an image, click preview, slide show.
Thanks,
Gergoe

Re: small sized slide show
This sounds like you're using a preview size that's too small. Can you try this;
1. In Preferences-Catalog set the preview size to the recommended value; you can see the recommended size when hovering the field
2. Open a small set of images
3. Select all images
4. Press Cmd+Alt+T to refresh the thumb and preview for each selected image
Open the slideshow.
Does that help?

Re: small sized slide show
It helps somewhat, but not completely. My screen resolution is 2560x1600. Hence, I'd assume setting preview size to 2560 should result in pictures fully covering my display. But that seems not to be the case. I still have a 15% wide grey frame around the picture. Only when I switch to the recommended 3200, the picture is full size. Interestingly, if I use the 1440 previews and set preview size in preference to 3200, (withou rebuilding the previews) the pictures are full size, with worse resolution of course.
Rebuilding the previews with 3200, the thumbnail db grows by 5x. May be it would be worth considering to give the user the coice how he wants to perform the slide show: previews only, or loading the real pictures, zoom to fit, shrink only, autoplay, delay...

Re: small sized slide show
You'll need a preview size that best matches your screen resolution. Remember that if you change preview size you need to rebuild all thumbnails manually. Pick a preview size to match your screen resolution and stick to it until switching to hardware with an even higher resolution.
