This is almost certainly user error on my part, but I have made three unsuccessful attempts and my old machine is close to maxed out on storage space, so I'm feeling a sense of urgency.
The old PC is running Windows 8.1 64-bit, the new one is running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.
Both machines are running the 64-bit version of Photo Supreme at the 4.3.0.1721 level.
I have copied the image folder hierarchy to the new machine.
On the "Tools>Backup Photo Supreme Data" menu item I have tried backing up the image database only. I have also tried backing up both the image and the thumbnail databases.
A Synology NAS handled the data transfers between the two machines.
When I attempt to restore using the "Tools>Restore Photo Supreme Data" and selecting the folders containing the backed up data, the restoration completes very quickly (a second or less). The brevity of this process seems suspicious to me (the folder containing the backed up data exceeds one gigabyte without the image thumbs, with the thumbs it is over 28 gigabytes. There are more than 70,000 total images in the database on my old PC.
Assistance in making a successful transition to the new PC will be very much appreciated!

Re: Unable to migrate to new computer
Why don't you just copy the 2 files from the old computer to the new one?

Re: Unable to migrate to new computer
That's all I do when I need a copy to work on my laptop rather than on my main workstation, simply copy the two database files making sure that the actual images appear on the same drive letter of course on the different machines. The files may take a little while to transfer depending on network speed etc. but not impossible time for my 7GBytes and 54GBytes, with well over 200,000 images.
