Replace Extensis Portfolio standalone and its INVALUABLE ability to monitor and instantly (10 secs)indicate upon launch where changes had occurred in the folders that were synchronized as well as create Custom Fields to hold lists of keywords in. and replace WhereIsIt and prior to that ADCatalog to identify location of all other PC files user creates. A quest for many folk out there let down by both softwares beign dropped.

Versioning, to associate the final display version of each image with the original from camera or elsewhere. Without versioning I would go back to my old folder based system which did everything else that I need quite adequately. (Honestly for me the labelling is net/net a huge waste of time, but I can't resist it whenever I'm adding new files to the database.)

Categories and tagging and then searching on the tags.

Re: QUESTION: what is your nr1 reason to use Photo Supreme
The impending death of media pro(aka Iview etc) had me scrambling. 15 yrs had me stuck in my ways.
The learning curve to change wasn’t so bad. And I have discovered some handy solutions to finding images that media pro never quite managed to make easy.

Tagging primarily, closely followed by the ability to launch a choice of editors, versioning is also looking to be very useful and something I didn't know I was missing...
Life has never been the same for me since Apple killed Aperture. I've muddled through with various options and am fortunate to have a company paid Adobe CC subscription but I really don't like the thought of not being able to access my images edits if the license doesn't get paid. As a consequence I have been shifting to a number of other editors over the last couple of years and now use three DXOPhotolabs, C1 and Luminar. Each has it's strengths, none have a credible file management system and certainly no real DAM capability

Shows .afphoto (affinity) files as an image not just an icon like Photo Mechanic and Bridge does. The second reason is the uncluttered user friendly UI.
