Tags not writing to files

Post by JamieSie »

Somewhere along the line my tags stopped writing to file metadata. I have tried manually pushing to the file with no success. It loads for a bit but doesn't update the file. Is there any setting I may have accidentally tripped that could block writing tags to metadata? Any other ideas?

I assume 'tags' are Catalog Labels (?).
Check the settings in Preferences / Sync settings / Write
Another possibility is that you marked labels (or label categories) as private.

Correct, I meant catalogue labels. I did find a category that was private, would that have automatically passed to the labels lower in the hierarchy? Correcting now, however; this would have only impacted some of the labels assigned to images. There should be some keywords being applied, there is something else going on still.

Never seen that kind of message. Are you sure it said the database was full? Could it be that one of your disks is getting low on space?
